How to Get Rid of Spam E-mails
WHAT IS SPAM, JUNK, BULK, OR UNSOLICITED EMAIL?
One of the most disturbing and annoying things that has ever been
experienced by internet users could very well be referred as Spam.
As if getting high APR credit card bills in your physical mailbox
wasn't bad enough, how many times have you logged in to your
electronic mail (e-mail) only to find almost nothing but pure
unwanted, unsolicited advertising e-mail? These types of
emails are called spam. Some of us
experience this horrible inconvenience every once in a while, others
very lucky ones have never yet experienced it (I don't know of any
yet), and most of us who use the internet frequently, unfortunately
get bombarded by these annoying spam emails pretty much about
several times every single day.
HOW SPAMMERS GET EMAIL ADDRESSES TO SEND UNSOLICITED JUNK MAIL
The first spam was believed to have been sent back in 1978.
Since then, more and more spammers have been using different methods
to deliver these unwanted junk emails to your inbox.
The fact is there are a lot of advertising hackers out there who use
different types of software utilities to steal email addresses
worldwide, using a variety of methods.
Some spammers will get e-mail addresses from forums, blogs,
classified ads, usenet groups, and other online websites. Other
spammers will go as far as driving around in a car with a laptop
computer using programs to steal ip addresses, which they can then
use to obtain email addresses.
The advertisers then send unsolicited advertisement emails to those
addresses they obtain or steal with the intend of making money
for their businesses, affiliations, and other advertising purposes.
WHY DO SPAMMERS SEND JUNK E-MAILS?
There are several reasons why a spammer would send an unwanted
email. The main, most obvious reason is for them to make money
from these e-mails. The unsolicited attackers are sending these
electronic mails in order to
advertise their products. They either have a business, or in
some way are affiliated with the companies or products they are
advertising to you in their mail content. You should be careful of clicking any of
the links within these types of junk emails because there might be a
virus or spyware attached that can harm your pc and even steal your
identity.
Another reason why a person would want to send spam email would be a
cause of hate act or revenge. A good example of this so called 'hate
email' would be a person who got fired from a
company and he/she sends multiple emails to this particular company
in order to cause a server crash. The idea behind these types
of spam emails is to a provoke server crash with the idea of
provoking a company loss, or to organize some type of chaos within
the organization.
Sometimes you try tor reply messages to these spammers, but your email
program will respond back to you with an undelivered email address.
This happens because many of these advertising hackers will utilize
a program which creates fake e-mail addresses.
WHY YOU SHOULD NOT JUST DELETE SPAM E-MAILS
I cannot stress this enough. Whenever you receive junk e-mails
you should not just delete them. Deleting these unsolicited
emails will not prevent you from getting them again. Instead,
it is recommended that you take action by reporting these bulk
emails as spam. If you have an option with your email program
to report as spam, do so. This will help in the future to
prevent this from happening.
HOW TO EFFECTIVELY ELIMINATE SPAM
Unfortunately completely eliminating spam, as with trying to stop
any crime in life, is nearly impossible. You can only work
towards improving it for the future and hope that you won't get
it anymore. Good thing for us, there are spam programs that will
make it much easier to deal with spam emails. Experts in
this field have developed SpamWeed, an amazing spam
